The Fatherless Journey for Girlsনমুনা

The facts of fatherlessness are scary stuff! Check out some of the statistics:
- “90% of homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes.”
- “Children who lived with only one parent had lower grade point averages, lower college aspirations, poor attendance records, and higher dropout rates than students who lived with both parents.”
- “Fatherless Children are at a dramatically greater risk of drug and alcohol abuse, mental illness, suicide, poor educational performance, teen pregnancy, and criminality.”
The book, This Present Darkness, by Frank Peretti, discusses the joy that Satan receives through his victories over individuals. As I ponder these statistics, I realize that he takes pleasure in them. He is the master of deceit, and he deceives us in many ways. The following are just a few of the ways he deceives fatherless young ladies:
1. He makes us think that it is our fault that we are fatherless.
2. He makes us think that we will find security in other men.
3. He makes us think that we should blame God.
You need to realize that if you choose to follow God and His truth and reject Satan and his lies, you will have the ability to rise above the statistics, and God can fulfill His plan in your life.
The facts are very shocking about those who are fatherless and could be influential in your life. The true fact is that you have the opportunity to not be one of the statistics. The act of a father leaving is detrimental to anyone. It has most likely affected your actions, attitude, thought process, and many other attributes of your life. After becoming fatherless, the most important necessity is to rely on God to get you through it. The wonderful thing about being a Christian is that you do not have to become a statistic.
Romans 8:17 shows us that though we may suffer certain obstacles in this world, we have the hope of someday being “glorified together” in Heaven. Following this in verse 28 (NKJV), we are shown that “All things work together for good to them that love God.”
You have not chosen to be a fatherless statistic, but you can be who God wants you to be on this earth, regardless of the statistics that you may face. You may suffer in this world, being fatherless, but if you live for the Lord despite your circumstances, glory will eventually come, and all things will work together for good. Through your relationship with Jesus Christ, you are able to conquer the biggest obstacles in this world.
