Lessons From Donkeysনমুনা

God Speaks Through the Unlikely
Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?” Numbers 22:28 (ESV).
Balaam’s donkey saw what Balaam did not—an angel blocking the path. While Balaam was determined to move forward, his donkey was trying to protect him. When the donkey finally spoke, it was a shocking reminder that God can use anything—or anyone—to get your attention.
God often speaks through unexpected sources: interruptions, delays, or even people you might usually ignore. The question is, are you paying attention when God uses the unlikely to redirect or warn you?
Is God trying to speak to you through an unexpected person or circumstance? Are you truly listening?
Prayer: Father God, please open my ears to hear Your voice in every situation—even when it comes through surprising or uncomfortable means. Help me stay humble and attentive so I do not miss your direction. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Each one contains a different lesson about hearing God’s voice, following His lead, and remembering that it’s not about us—it’s all about Jesus. Can God use even a donkey to speak truth into your life? Absolutely. So open your heart—and maybe get ready to say “Amen” or even “Hee-Haw!”
