### Day Two - The Birth of Jesus The greatest gift God has given humanity, besides salvation, is His only son! Welcome to our Christmas devotional. As you journey together through the wonder of God’s amazing plan and provision, we pray that you have fun, while discovering more about God’s heart for everyone. We pray that every truth you learn through this plan will be remembered and carried with you through life as you journey with and always follow Jesus. READ: ‘ Shepherds Visit’ in the Beginners Bible (pages 277-281) or in Luke 2:8-20 While the shepherds were watching the sheep, an angel came and God’s light shone all around them. Close your eyes for a few seconds and think about how dark it would have been out in the field that night. Then open your eyes. Imagine how bright the light from the angels would have been! God’s light shines in the darkness. Even if you’re scared, or feeling sad, God is always with you to comfort you. He brings hope! ASK: Talk to Father God today about how you feel - whether you’re happy, sad, or scared, He wants to hear all about it and fill you with His love and hope! REMEMBER: But the angel reassured them, saying, “Don’t be afraid. For I have come to bring you good news, the most joyous news the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere! (Luke 2:10) SAY: Thank you, God that you sent your Son. Help us to remember while we have fun. Give us the courage to share the greatest news, With everyone, everywhere, that all may hear, As we shout it from the rooftops, loud and clear! Amen!
