The gospel of Mark was written first of the 4 gospels and it is believed that Peter was the eye witness that supplied most of the content. Mark focuses primarily on the works and actions of Jesus, as opposed to his words. Chapter 2 records 5 incidents in which they show the religious leaders being opposed to Jesus. At River Valley Church, our heart is global and we want to do everything we can to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One way we can do this is by praying for different countries and people groups, including those who are unreached. We believe that our prayers can make a difference (2 Chronicles 7:14) and that when we pray, more laborers will go (Matthew 9:38) and when more laborers go, nations will be changed (Romans 10:14).
