## God’s Presence What is the presence of God? We think about the presence of God as this omnipresence, and sure it is. You could go to the depths of the earth or the sea and the Lord would be with you. You could go to the moon and God would be with you. You could be in a space station and pray and God would hear you. All of us are together, right now, in the presence of God. But there is a presence of God that is not just His general presence everywhere. There is a particular presence that comes through salvation in Jesus Christ. He comes to dwell in your heart. And He lives inside of you from then on. The biggest battle that has ever been won was when Jesus won the battle over sin. On the cross of Christ, the battle over sin was done. Jesus said it was finished so that you and I could trust Him as our Savior. Jesus Christ came and won the battle against sin because He was holy, blameless, and free from any sin. He died and rose again from the grave so that you and I could place our faith and trust in Him alone. If you say today, “Jesus, I want You to be my Savior,” then the presence of God will come to indwell you, and you will be made a new creation in Jesus. Have you trusted Christ as your Savior? Have you placed your faith in Him? That is the number one battle. It is the battle against sin, and victory is only found through Christ Jesus. A young lady from Asia moved to Houston because her dad was receiving cancer treatment. She got connected with a local church and began to follow Jesus and to grow in her faith. Once her dad completed his cancer treatment, she returned to Asia. She felt like the Lord was calling her back to her homeland. So, she took the opportunity to share the Gospel with her family and friends, and three of her family members prayed and received Christ. People are forced, in one way or another, to admit their weakness. God can use any battle for good. Trust the presence of God. God’s at work, even when it doesn’t seem like it.
