Psalms in 30 Days

DAY 9 OF 30

## Morning Prayer: Call to Prayer The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us: O come, let us adore him. Confession of Faith I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God become human for us and our salvation, the only Mediator between God and humanity, born of the virgin Mary, the Son of David and servant of the house of Israel, one person with two natures, truly God and truly man. He lived a fully human life, having entered into the disorder and brokenness of fallen existence, yet without sin, and in his words, deeds, attitude, and suffering embodied the free and loving communication of God’s own light and life. Adapted from the Reforming Catholic Confession Canticle Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth. Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory. Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world: have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of the Father. Amen. Read Morning Psalms 45 and 46 Gloria Glory be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end. Pray: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Intercessions and Personal Requests Prayer of the Church Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought me in safety to this new day: Preserve me with your mighty power, that I may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all I do direct me to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen. Book of Common Prayer Blessing (read Ephesians 3:20-21) ## Midday Prayer: Call to Prayer (read Psalm 51:15) Read Midday Psalm 44 Gloria Glory be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end. Pray: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Blessing (read 2 Corinthians 13:14) ## Evening Prayer: Call to Prayer (read Proverbs 3:19-20) Confession of Sin O Lord, the house of my soul is narrow; enlarge it that you may enter in. It is ruined, O repair it! It displeases your sight; I confess it, I know. But who shall cleanse it, or to whom shall I cry but unto you? Cleanse me from my secret faults, O Lord, and spare your servant from sin. Augustine Canticle (read Luke 2:29-32) Read Evening Psalms 47, 48, and 49 Gloria Glory be to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever, world without end. Pray: The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13) Intercessions and Personal Requests: Prayer of the Church O God, who wonderfully created, and yet more wonderfully restored, the dignity of human nature: Grant that we may share the divine life of him who humbled himself to share our humanity, your Son Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. The Book of Common Prayer Blessing The Almighty and merciful Lord, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, bless us and keep us, this night and evermore. Amen.
