CONVERSATION STARTERS Q1) Would you rather someone praised you publicly or privately? Q2) What or who do you praise? What does the Bible say about praise? * We praise God because he is greater than everything else! Praise him for his mighty works; praise his unequalled greatness!  (Psalm 150:2) * Praising God reminds us of how great he is and all he has done for us. Sing a new song to the Lord! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord! Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. (Psalm 96:1-3) * Praising God helps us to experience his presence. Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the Lord— rejoice in his presence! (Psalm 68:4) * Praising God opens the way for miracles to happen. About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God, while the other prisoners listened. Suddenly a strong earthquake shook the jail to its foundations.
