Iron Sharpens Iron. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17 KJV Diligently seek God daily. Surround yourself with Godly men and women, whose hearts reflect the Heart of God. As God grooms you and shapes your heart, He will guide you and surround you with iron sharpening men and women who will hold you accountable and bring God’s best out of you. Godly character is developed and is matured over time. When God sharpens you and develops you, through character sharpening relationships, your old man dies and the new man comes forth and grows stronger. Surround yourself with mature and Godly Believers who desire to live a life that reflects the Heart of God. Desire to surround yourself with Godly men and women who hunger and thirst after righteousness and desire to feed and to lead their families as God leads their heart. Desire to surround yourself with Godly men and women who choose to feed themselves the Word of God continually. Surround yourself with iron sharpening men and women who are on a journey to reflect the Heart of Christ and desire not to fulfill the lust of the flesh and the entanglements of the world. Sharpen and develop your character by surrounding yourself with those who are full of wisdom, character, skill, diligence, and insight. Allow God to surround you with Godly men and women who are more mature and more seasoned than you — even if they are younger than you. Through the sharpening process, old habits die and old fleshly appetites are cut off. In Christ, we are called to be sharpened and to sharpen others daily. Choose to lead others to Christ through your life and light in Christ. Set the example and be transformed. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 KJV
