Tobanga language
The Tobanga language is spoken in Chad in northern Africa, where it is also known as Northern Gabri.
New Testament
The New Testament in Tobanga, was translated by an interconfessional committee, including Laurence S. Cowell of the Brethren Mission working with Yakuba Gareba Djera and Etienne Massa.
It was called in French: Le Nouveau Testament traduit en langue Tobanga (Gabri). In 1978, i was published by the British and Foreign Bible Society (BFBS) and called: Kebu go dore go herua. It was printed in Cambridge for the United Bible Societies, (Alliance biblique universelle). The New Testament included a glossary called: To do poré. It was republished in 2000.
Digital Edition
The Tobanga New Testament was digitised from an original copy at the British and Foreign Bible Society archives at Cambridge University. It was digitised for the Bible Society of Chad with the help of MissionAssist in 2023.
