CrossPoint Church Sunday

CrossPoint Church Sunday

There is an apparent brokenness in humanity. We see it in our world. We see it in ourselves. The good news is that God cares and has done something to fix all that is broken. This good news is captured in the gospel, and Romans is the clearest, most in-depth explanation of the gospel in all Scripture. Through this letter, we see how the power that resurrected Jesus enters our lives by faith to reconcile our relationship with God, set us free from dead-end ways of living, and heal the broken parts of us.

Today's Message: Romans: Suppressing God is Disastrous Living
Scripture Verses: Romans 1:18-32

The great problem the gospel solves is the wrath of God against all godlessness and wickedness.

The world around us is not innocent people who need to find God but arrogant people who have chosen to fight God.

There are three ways in which humanity attempts to suppress the truth of God: disobedience, denial, and distortion.

God’s response to humanity’s suppression of the truth about him is to release them to their desires.

The corruption of sin is comprehensive: sex, society, authority, and family.

Two burdens we should have for others:
1. We can’t be disengaged when the danger is real.
2. We intercede for the lives of people.
