But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people who are God’s own possession. You have become this people so that you may speak of the wonderful acts of the one who called you out of darkness into his amazing light.

ተስፋ ተኮር በሆነው ደብዳቤው ለመጀመሪያዋ ክፍለ ዘመን ቤተ-ክርስቲያን ጴጥሮስ በማመን፣ በመታዘዝ እና ፍርድና መከራ ሲገጥመን ፀንተን እንድንቆም ያበረታናል፡፡ ይህን የሚያሳስበን ምክንያት ደግሞ በክርስቶስ ማን እንደሆንን፣ ቅዱስ የሆነውን ኑሮ እንኖር ዘንድ ኃይል የሆነልንና ወደፊት ዘላለምን ለመውረስ የምንችል ነን በማለት ነው፡፡

እንደ አንድ አትሌት ሌሎች ሰዎች ሕይወታችሁንና አፈፃፀማችሁን በሚመለከት በሚያወሩበት ዓለም ውስጥ ነው የምትኖሩት፡፡ይህ የ11 ቀናት ዕቅድ እግዚአብሔር እናንተን እንደ ልጅ በመቁጠር ለእናንተ የሰጠውን ነገር እንድትረዱ ያግዛችኋል፡፡የሚሰጠው ተስፋ ያለው ሕይወትን፤ደህነትን፤ሠላምንና እገዛን ነው፡፡በእነዚህ ብርቱና ሕይወት ለዋጭ የሆኑ አስተሳሰቦችን የታጠቁ አትሌቶች ልዩ ይሆናሉ፡፡
