For ingen av oss lever for seg selv, og ingen dør for seg selv. Når vi lever, så lever vi for Herren, og når vi dør, så dør vi for Herren. Derfor er det slik at enten vi lever eller dør, så tilhører vi Herren. Derfor døde jo Kristus, og derfor sto Han også opp igjen og ble levende, for at Han skal være Herre både over døde og levende.
