(Eyı enìı̨tǫ nechàa sìı “sahzǫ̀ą-gha-enìı̨tǫ” wìyeh, eyıts'ǫ eyı tıa, Aramaıc gıyatıì k'ę̀ę̀, Betesda wìyeh.) Eyı tıa wemǫǫ̀ sagòhɂı̨ı̨-k'è sı̨làı gòla. Eyı wetł'a dǫ-eyaelı̨ı̨ łǫ whete. Mǫ̀hdaa gıdaà goìlee, mǫ̀hdaa k'egedè-le eyıts'ǫ mǫ̀hdaa gıkw'ǫǫ̀ ełaı̨dè. Dǫ ı̨łè eyı whedaa sìı taènǫ-daats'ǫ̀-ek'èdı̨ xo gots'ǫ k'eda-le hǫt'e. Zezì eyı dǫ ekǫ whetı̨ yaɂı̨. Whaà gots'ǫ hanì eyaelı̨ yeghǫ ıìkw'o t'à dǫ eyaelı̨ı̨ ts'ǫ̀ hadı, “Asį̀į̀ k'aàt'ıì anede ha neewǫ?” yèhdı.
Eyı dǫ hadı, “K'àowo, tı nàeda ts'ǫ̀et'ıì tı yìehtła ha dǫ sets'àwedì whìle. Įłaà tı ts'ǫ̀ ehtłe et'ıì dǫ sekwe tı yìetła,” hadı.
Eyıt'à Zezì yets'ǫ̀ hadı, “Nıį̀tła, netè nıìɂah gà k'eı̨tło,” yèhdı. Ekòet'ıì eyı dǫ k'aàt'ıì ajà. Edetè nıìɂah gà k'etłoò ajà.
Eyı hagòjàa sìı Nǫ̀htsı̨ Dzęę̀ k'e agòjà. Eyıt'à Israel gha k'aodèe eyı dǫ k'aàt'ıì ajàa sìı ts'ǫ̀ hagedı, “Nǫ̀htsı̨ Dzęę̀ k'e agǫ̀ht'e, gonàowoò k'èch'a netè k'enehchı,” gıìhdı.
Hanìkò eyı dǫ hadı, “Dǫ k'aàt'ıì asį̀į̀làa sìı sets'ǫ̀ dıı hadı, ‘Netè nı̨į̀ɂa gà k'eı̨tło,’ sèhdı t'à aht'ı̨,” gòhdı.
Eyıt'à hagıìhdı, “Eyı dǫ, ‘Netè nı̨į̀ɂa gà k'eı̨tło,’ nèhdıı sìı amìı hǫt'e?” gıìhdı.
Dǫ k'aàt'ıì ajàa sìı amìı ayı̨į̀làa sìı yek'èezǫ-le, Zezì dǫnı ts'ǫ̀ èhtła t'à.
Eyı tł'axǫǫ̀ Nǫ̀htsı̨kǫ̀-gocho gà Zezì k'achı̨ nayat'ı̨ t'à, yets'ǫ̀ hadı, “Negha k'aàt'ıì agòjà, nezı̨. K'achı̨ hołı̨ı̨ k'ę̀ę̀ eghàlaı̨da-le, hanì-le-ı̨dè dànì eyanelèe sìı wenahk'e nexè hoìla agode ha,” yèhdı. Eyı dǫ k'aàt'ıì ajàa sìı Israel gha k'aodèe gots'ǫ̀ èhtła, hagòhdı, “Zezì k'aàt'ıì asį̀į̀là,” gòhdı.

Zezì, Nǫ̀htsı̨ Dzęę̀ k'e hanì eghàlaı̨dà t'à k'aodèe Zezì gha hoìla hogehtsı̨į̀ agejà. “Nǫ̀htsı̨ Dzęę̀ k'e kò Setà t'aats'ǫǫ̀ edılaà ghàlaeda hǫt'e t'à, sı̨ sı t'aats'ǫǫ̀ eghàlaehda hǫt'e,” Zezì gòhdı. Zezì hadı ts'ıhɂǫ̀ k'aodèe k'èdaà gıweè haı̨wǫ. Nǫ̀htsı̨ Dzęę̀ nàı̨zhì zǫ nıìle gı̨ı̨wǫ, hanìkò Nǫ̀htsı̨ xàè setà hǫt'e dı t'à Nǫ̀htsı̨ xèht'eè adììdlà.
Zezì gots'ǫ̀ hadı, “Ehkw'ı anaxèehsı̨, Weza sìı ededahxà t'asìı ghàlaeda nıìle. Wetà ayìı ghàlaedaa yeghàedaa sìı eyı zǫ yeghàlaeda hǫt'e. Wetà dànì eghàlaedaa sìı Weza yexèht'eè eghàlaeda hǫt'e. Gotà Edeza ghǫneètǫ hǫt'e, t'asìı hazǫǫ̀ ghàlaedaa sìı yeghàedaà ayehɂı̨. Hęɂę, eyı wenahk'e t'asìı deè ghàedaà ayele ha, naxıgha enıìyah dìì ha ne. Gotà dǫ ełaı̨dèe sìı naìdà xè geedaà agohɂı̨. “Naxı̨ John-Baptıst daweahke ha dǫ wets'ǫ̀ aahłà ı̨lè, amìı ehkw'ıı hǫt'e sìı yeghǫ naxıts'ǫ̀ goı̨de ı̨lè. “Dǫ seghǫ nezı̨į̀ agedı gha aht'ı̨-le, hanìkò naxık'èehsǫ; naxıdzeè t'à Nǫ̀htsı̨ ghǫnıahtǫ nıìle. Setà wedahxà jǫ nèehtła, hanìkò ehkw'ı aehsı̨ seahwhǫ-le. “Hanìkò Setà wenadąą̀ naxık'e nìdahoehɂà ha dahwhǫ-le. Moses weyatıì k'èats'ı̨ı̨t'e dahwhǫ t'à ededı̨ naxık'e nìdahoeɂà ha.
