I Will Praise Yahweh Throughout My Life

1 # 146:1 Or Hallelujah! Praise Yah!

Praise Yahweh, O my soul!

2I will praise Yahweh throughout my life;

I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

3Do not trust in nobles,

In merely a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

4His spirit departs, he returns to #146:4 Lit his earththe earth;

In that very day his plans perish.

5How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,

Whose hope is in Yahweh his God,

6Who made heaven and earth,

The sea and all that is in them;

Who keeps truth forever;

7Who does justice for the oppressed;

Who gives food to the hungry.

Yahweh sets the prisoners free.

8¶Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind;

Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down;

Yahweh loves the righteous;

9Yahweh keeps the sojourners;

He #146:9 Or relieveshelps up the orphan and the widow,

But He bends the way of the wicked.

10Yahweh will reign forever,

Your God, O Zion, #146:10 Lit tofrom generation to generation.
