And he said to them, "Go out alone, into a deserted place, and rest for a little while." For there were so many who were coming and going, that they did not even have time to eat.

And Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house, and among his own kindred."

And Jesus, going out, saw a great multitude. And he took pity on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.

And he was not able to perform any miracles there, except that he cured a few of the infirm by laying his hands on them. And he wondered, because of their unbelief, and he traveled around in the villages, teaching.

And having received the five loaves and the two fish, gazing up to heaven, he blessed and broke the bread, and he gave it to his disciples to set before them. And the two fish he divided among them all. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they brought together the remainder: twelve baskets full of fragments and of fish.
