And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose and went out to a lonely place, and there he prayed.

and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel.”

And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opened and the Spirit descending upon him like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “Thou art my beloved Son; with thee I am well pleased.”

I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

And Jesus said to them, “Follow me and I will make you become fishers of men.” And immediately they left their nets and followed him.

And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
