“And she shall give birth to a Son, and you shall call His Name יהושע for He shall save His people from their sins.

“See, an ‘almah’ shall conceive, and she shall give birth to a Son, and they shall call His Name Immanu’ĕl, ” which translated, means, “Ěl with us.”

But while he thought about this, see, a messenger of יהוה appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Yosĕph, son of Dawiḏ, do not be afraid to take Miryam as your wife, for that which is in her was brought forth from the Set-apart Spirit.

But the birth of יהושע Messiah was as follows: After His mother Miryam was engaged to Yosĕph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant from the Set-apart Spirit. And Yosĕph her husband, being righteous, and not wishing to make a show of her, had in mind to put her away secretly.
