"One Thought at a Time" It is a crazy idea that we can capture thoughts and make them obedient to Christ. Paul, the author of most of the New Testament must have had an incredible revelation of the mind. With a deep awareness of the Jewish scripture but an ardent rebellion towards his Jewish heritage in his adult years, only to radically turn to Jesus after killing those of the faith, he knew the power of transformation! He knew that Jesus could take a sinful person, filled with thoughts of shame and turn them around to being a mighty Christian that changes their world for Jesus! Do you want to be this type of Christian? Every thought you have that opposes God’s Word, one by one, dismantle it from its place in your mind. Right now, what thought have you had in the last hour that goes against God’s best will for your life? Take that thought and “make it obedience to Christ” as Paul instructs in 2 Corinthians 10:5. One by one, you change your world by changing one thought at a time. Renewal Thought: Every thought you have takes you on a journey. Is the trajectory of your thoughts leading you where you want to go? Grab every thought and subject it to the Word of God and see as the journey gets better and better! Prayer: Father, help me capture every thought that will take away from Your Will for my life. I focus on the thought of Your Word that will guide me to renewal. I believe and trust that Your Word and Your Spirit are guiding me to health, strength, peace and joy. Every other thought is found and cast down. I have the mind of Christ and the purpose of God coming to pass in me.
