## Lead Me In Matthew 6:13, Jesus continues to teach us how to pray, saying, “And lead us not into temptation.” James tells us in James 1:13-15 that God doesn’t tempt us into sin. We also learn that we won’t be tempted beyond what we can bear(1 Corinthians 10:13). When we pray the first part of this verse, we’re asking God to lead us anywhere other than temptation. We’re asking Him to lead us where He wants us! In your daily encounter, consider who or what may be leading you. Are you being led by the circumstances of your day? Your emotions? Your desires? Or are you being led by the Lord? If anything other than the Lord is leading you, now is the time to lay it all down and let Him become the Lord of your life. Next, pray for Him to lead you where He wants you. Ask Him to lead you into freedom! If there is an area where you are being tempted, pray for God’s grace to overcome sin. James 4:7-8 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” In your daily encounter today, draw near to God! As you draw near God, yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading. When you are yielded to the Holy Spirit, He gives you the grace to overcome sin. Pray : Lead me not into temptation. Lord, I trust you to lead me! Right now, I yield to your Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, lead me, and I will follow You. I know You desire to give me freedom from sin, so I receive your grace to overcome all sin in my life.
