Why Go to Church?

1 دن 13 میں سے

### The church is a place to have fellowship “We, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:5) Being a Christian means being a child of God. This also implies being part of God’s family, the worldwide church (see Ephesians 2:19). All believers are brothers and sisters in Christ, and as such, they are to support, encourage and help each other. The Bible compares the church to a body, of which Jesus Christ is the head. Every single believer is a part of this body and has his or her own role to play. A body can’t do without the foot, or the stomach, or the eyes. All body parts need the others to survive and thrive. Christians need fellow believers. Some have been appointed as spiritual leaders, others as evangelists, others have the gift of prophecy, teaching, or service. Some Christians don’t have the opportunity to join a community of believers, which is a huge loss. They are still members of the one worldwide body of Christ, but they feel the pain of separation from their spiritual brothers and sisters. Take some time today to pray for believers who are lacking the support of a local community of fellow Christians.
