Seven Effective Prayers for Unsaved Husbandsنمونہ

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5).  The Apostle Paul was urging the church of Philippi to adopt the mindset of Christ.  The mind of Christ belongs to one that serves God and others.  Someone with this mindset looks out for the welfare of others over that of their own.  Someone with the mindset of Christ also believes in sacrificing.  They are willing to let go or put aside their agenda, desires, and even goals for the benefit of others. And lastly, someone with the mind of Christ is selfless.  They deny themselves for the welfare of others.  These are exact qualities that husbands should possess. You may have been praying for your husband to get saved or even for your marriage to get better. However, have you considered praying for your husband’s mindset and attitude?  Every action he takes derives from his mindset. The way he comprehends and downloads information comes from the way he thinks.  Perhaps he has a distorted mindset regarding the church or even God. That mindset has pulled him away from God rather than toward God. Perhaps, he adopted the mindset of his parents or guardians that were not saved, and his actions and attitude are being driven by that mindset. Maybe your husband is struggling with a mental disorder that is contributing to or even controlling the way he thinks. He is unable to manage his mind, much less his marriage.  He may find himself drowning in negative and irrational thought patterns. Those patterns are distorting the way he thinks about himself and others to include you. First things first! You must pray for his mind! In praying, you are asking God to renew his mind.  When his mind is renewed, his life is transformed.  Pray the prayer of faith concerning your husband’s mindset and thought patterns to be replaced with the mind of Christ. Pray for his mind to be healed from illnesses and disorders that are trying to dominate his mind. Prayer for your husband’s mind: Father in the name of Jesus, I pray for my husband’s mind.  Your Word says to let this mind be in us which is also in you.  My husband’s mind has been impacted by his past in some way or another. It is impeding on his ability to love and serve you and to love me as your Word commands.  I pray that every irrational and distorted thought pattern be broken off his mind.  I pray every hurt and pain he has experienced, whether by others or self-inflicted, that he can offer forgiveness and be restored within himself.  For every unfortunate experience my husband has endured, I pray that the effects of those experiences no longer dominate his mind, emotions, or will.  I pray that his mind is completely healed and restored. I pray that his mind is renewed by the blood of Jesus so he may be free to serve you and to love others.  In Jesus' name.  Amen.
