Sketchy People

4 دن 5 میں سے

We’d love to think that all sketchy people get redeemed and transformed, but Judas Iscariot was an example of somebody who did not get redeemed and transformed. Judas continued to choose his destructive path and ultimately it killed him. Jesus knew what Judas would do, and yet we don't see any evidence that He treated Judas differently than the other disciples. He still walked with Judas and shared life with him every day. Reflection: 1\. Identify a time in your life when you were doing something sketchy, but Jesus still walked beside you during that season. 2\. What does being a disciple of Jesus mean to you? What does it mean for your daily life and relationship with Jesus? It’s important to appreciate that no matter what we do or what we don't do, Jesus's character remains the same. Jesus walks with us knowing who we are to the very core of ourselves. Jesus knows our potential to get into sketchy stuff. He certainly knew the potential in Judas. He knew what was going to happen, but he still chose to walk with him. It didn't change who Jesus was. Just because we might be sketchy or someone you know might be sketchy, it doesn't change who Jesus is. It doesn't change that Jesus is genuine love. It doesn't change that Jesus continues to reach out in relationship. It doesn't change that Jesus is Lord of all.
