21 Days To Connect: Anchoring Your College Lifeنمونہ
Remember you were not meant to live your life as a believer all by yourself. If we don’t listen to others it is very likely that our plans will fail. We are champions at convincing ourselves that nobody knows us better than ourselves. But the truth is that we need advisers to help us navigate the way forward in life. Hopefully you had a good family life and your father and mother can still serve in that role. But even if they were not good role models, we still can allow others to advise us in areas where we lack the expertise to make wise decisions. What brings immediate joy may not be the best things in life. Thus the writer of the Proverb reminds us that one who has understanding walks a straight path. Where has the Lord directed you this week? Hopefully you are developing a group of spiritual advisers including peers in community, older and more experienced teachers, and a church family to help you discern and stay on that straight path!
“Lord I want to honor my father and mother by walking in your ways today. Help me find advisers that will speak truth into my life and help me walk the straight path. Help me take a long view of my college experience rather than what brings me temporary pleasure.”

The college years can be an awesome time in a person's life. They can also be a time when believers drift from their faith. The difference is often whether or not one gets connected to other believers, a campus ministry and a local church. This plan will help you explore what God's Word says about getting connected on your campus. If you want to change the world, reach the campus. If you want to reach the campus, make sure there are believers who are anchored to His Word and His Church.
