The Help Of HIS Presence

Devotional:

There is a kind of help that comes from what God gives, and there is a deeper help that comes from who God is. This is the help of His presence.

When Moses spoke to God in Exodus 33, he understood something profound. He did not only ask for direction, provision, or victory. He asked for presence. He said, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here” (Exodus 33:15). Moses knew that the presence of God was the difference.

Throughout Scripture, we see this truth again and again. God told Isaac, “I will be with you and will bless you” (Genesis 26:3). Joseph prospered even in difficult places because the Lord was with him (Genesis 39:2). Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him (1 Samuel 3:19). David found favor and behaved wisely because the Lord was with him.

Even Jesus, in His earthly ministry, went about doing good because God was with Him (Acts 10:38).

The help of God’s presence sets people apart. It brings wisdom, favor, courage, growth, and supernatural results. Without His presence, achievement is empty. With His presence, even wilderness seasons can become places of increase.

Do not just ask God for things, ask Him to go with you.

Prayer:

Lord, I desire the help of Your presence more than anything else. Please go with me, guide me, and set me apart for Your purpose. Let Your presence bring wisdom, favor, growth, and strength into every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
