Back to the Basics 365Намуна

Jesus Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world. John Gill said Christ “was made sin for us, not by transgression but by imputation.” This means that He did not do something wrong to deserve the cross; rather, He took something from us that was never His—our sin. The cross is where justice and mercy meet. The blood that fell there was divine blood, shed to satisfy the law and redeem sinners. God Himself bore the punishment humanity deserved so that we could be made right with Him.
Take a moment to thank the Lord for the greatest gift that has ever been given!
