We see the truth reiterated throughout the Bible that there is one true God. Isaiah 45:5 says, “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me.”
The Bible is also clear that God exists as the Trinity, or three persons in one. The Bible refers to these three parts of God as the Godhead. Colossians 2:9 says, “For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” Scripture tells us that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all God. These three are coequal, eternal, and powerful with differing, harmonious roles within the Godhead.
Although this idea of God being one Person made of three different persons is hard for us to understand, we must trust that God’s Word is true.
