I remember a story about a man who, upon leaving his house each day, would hear his father say, “Remember, you’re our child.” It was a simple instruction to behave and conduct himself as he knew his parents wanted him to.

Today, God gives the same call to His children. 1 Peter 2:9 says we should “…shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” Matthew 5:14-16 calls us to “…let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

The gospel is meant to be lived from the inside out. God has made a huge difference in our lives because of the gospel, and God calls us to be willing and ready to share that difference at any time.
