As you read your Bible, a question may suddenly come to mind, and you might feel tempted to keep reading. STOP! Be sure to have a pen and paper ready to jot down your questions. Later, you can return to them for deeper study.

One of the most exciting aspects of immersing yourself in God's Word is discovering its many layers of truth. Often, we overlook key insights simply because we do not pause to ask questions. In Luke 2:46, we see that even Jesus Himself, as a teenager, asked questions of the teachers of the law.

May we, in our limited understanding, continually seek to ask questions of the Infinite One Who created us and loves us. Don’t ignore those questions; they can lead to a richer, more meaningful understanding of the Bible.

Keep a pen and paper close at hand whenever you read because your journey of discovery depends on it!
