Immanuel in My Story: Finding Your Part in God’s Christmas Plan.Намуна

Walking Out a Written Story
The story has already been written.
Even when it feels like you are in the wilderness season of your life, you can be confident of this: God already knows the end from the beginning. He is not trying to figure things out. He is not just a few steps ahead of you, scrambling to make a way. He is the Way.
Imagine your life as a story on a stage. You are the main character, but God is the Author and Director. He is not surprised by any scene, any twist, any delay. He knew it all before you even got the script, before you ever took your first breath.
Matthew reminds us that:
“All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet…”
(Matthew 1:22)
Jesus’ birth was not a random moment. It was a fulfilment of a word spoken generations before. The God who commands and it is done, the One who said “Let there be” and there was, had already spoken. The arrival of Jesus was proof that His word does not fall to the ground.
In the same way, God has spoken concerning you.
He is with you, beside you, behind you, before you.
He is not limited by space, time, matter, or even your limited thoughts. He is not panicking over your timeline. He is not late. What feels unfinished to you is already complete in His sight.
From Heaven’s perspective, the script is in place.
From Earth’s perspective, you are walking it out scene by scene.
So the question is not whether God has a plan. The question is: will you trust Him enough to keep moving, even when the set looks like a wilderness and the audience feels silent?
The script has been written.
The spotlight is on you.
Are you ready to step onto the centre stage and act on His word?
This Christmas, as you remember Immanuel, “God with us,” remember that He is also God with you: in your process, in your questions, in your not-yet. The same God who fulfilled His promise in Bethlehem is faithful to fulfil what He has spoken over your life.
Reflection
- Where in your life right now feels like a “wilderness scene”? How might that look different if you truly believed God already knows the end from the beginning?
- What specific promise or scripture has God spoken over you that you need to revisit and “rehearse” like a script?
- What one act of obedience is God asking you to take as your next “scene” in this story?
Prayer
Lord, thank You that my life is not random. Thank You that You know the end from the beginning and that nothing in my story takes You by surprise. Where I have felt lost, delayed, or forgotten, remind me that You are still writing. Teach me to trust Your script, even when I do not understand every scene. Give me the courage to step onto the stage of obedience and act on Your word. Immanuel, be with me in every moment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
About this Plan

Immanuel in My Story is a 4-day Christmas devotional that helps you see the birth of Jesus as more than a distant event. Through the lives of Joseph and Mary (primarily based on Matthew 1), you will explore God-given dreams, carrying purpose, and trusting a story He has already written. By the end of these four days, you will be clearer about your part in God’s Christmas plan and the next step of obedience He is calling you to take.
