The command to repent, to turn away from our sin and towards God’s ways, was an Old Testament concept as well. In today’s passage, we see King David’s successor, Solomon, complete the work of building a temple for the Lord.
I love that the Lord appears to Solomon in response to his prayers and shares His expectations of His people.
Read verse 14 again.
While this was written to a specific people and time, we can see the principle of repentance in God’s instructions.
What is God telling the people to do if they have strayed from his path?
Spend some time sitting quietly with the Lord. Ask the Spirit to show you anything you need to repent from in your own life. Seek Him diligently to hear his voice.

About this Plan
