The Christmas Tree
🎄 Exploring how God changed the world through the Cross and how “trees” are woven into this redemption story of grace.
Week 4: The Tree of the Cross (Days 16–20)
Theme: The cross reminds us that Jesus was born to bear our sins.
Days 16–20 by Amy Perry
Day 16: The Manger and the Mission — Luke 2:6–7
🌿 It’s time. The scene has been set. Prophecies are being fulfilled. The long-awaited Messiah is about to be born—and there’s no room in the inn. The Savior of the world enters humanity not in luxury, but in humility—born in a stable, laid in a manger, surrounded by animals.
That manger—a feeding trough that was located in a place where animals were kept—became the first cradle of the King. It symbolized His mission from the start: He came to feed the hungry, to bring life to the weary, and to save the lost.
Sometimes God’s greatest plans unfold in the most unexpected places. When things don’t seem to go according to our plans, trust that God’s plan is still unfolding exactly as He intends.
✨ Christmas Truth to Ponder: God is orchestrating every detail, even when you don’t understand the why.
🙏 Today’s Action Step: Ask God to show you how He’s working behind the scenes in your life.
🔔 Preview for Tomorrow: The Shepherds and the Savior.
