The Blessing of Hope
Hope can fade quietly. There have been times when I’ve prayed for something and watched it take far longer than I wanted. As a husband and dad, I’ve wrestled with moments of uncertainty, wondering if I’m doing enough or leading well.
But then I look at Christmas, and I remember that hope came through unexpected circumstances. Jesus was born in a humble place, at the perfect time. That reminds me that God’s timing is always right, even when I don’t see it yet.
“We must meet the uncertainties of this world with the certainty of the world to come.” - A.W. Tozer
When my wife and I take a bike ride in the morning, we often talk about how faithful God has been, even through challenging seasons. That’s the beauty of hope, it keeps us looking forward with trust. The same God who kept His promise in Bethlehem still keeps His promises today.
Respond to God’s Word:
- Write down one area where you need to trust God’s timing.
- Pray Romans 15:13 and let His hope renew your heart.
