More Than Conquerors: 10 Days in Romans 8Намуна

God Works for Good
Few verses are as beloved—and sometimes as misunderstood—as Romans 8:28 (NIV):
“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
This doesn’t mean everything that happens is good. Some things are genuinely hard, painful, or unjust. But it does mean nothing is wasted. God is weaving even the hardest moments into His good plan.
Paul goes on to say that God’s purpose is to make us like Jesus:
“Those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son” (Romans 8:29 NIV).
From start to finish—foreknown, called, justified, glorified—your salvation is God’s work.
And here’s the freeing truth: you are simultaneously not powerful enough to get it all right or mess it all up. You don’t hold your salvation together—God does.
His purpose for you is secure because it depends on His faithfulness, not your performance.
Reflection:
- Where do you need to trust that God is working even when you can’t see it?
Try This Today:
- Write down one challenge you are facing
- and pray, “God, I trust You to use even this to shape me into the image of Jesus.”

About this Plan

Romans 8 has been called the greatest chapter in the Bible. In these 10 days, you’ll walk verse by verse through its powerful truth: no condemnation in Christ, life in the Spirit, adoption as God’s children, hope in suffering, the Spirit’s help in weakness, God’s purpose in all things, and the unbreakable love of Christ. Each day you’ll read Scripture, reflect on its meaning, and take a step to live in the freedom Jesus secured for you.
