Enduring Well as We Journey With God

DAY 5 OF 5

Enduring in Service

“Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

Endurance is not only about surviving trials but is also about continuing to serve the Lord and others when it would be easier to give up. Service can be exhausting, especially when our actions go unrecognized or unappreciated. Yet, it is through perseverance that Christ is often clearly displayed.

Serving others can be inconvenient and uncomfortable, but when we endure, we reveal the love and patience of Jesus. No matter our context—a nine-to-five job, the military, full-time ministry, motherhood, or daily life—our endurance in service points people to the One who endured the cross for our sake.

Every act of service becomes a testimony when we endure without bitterness or complaint. Like a long-distance runner keeping pace, endurance in service requires discipline, focus, and hope in God’s promise of reward.

When we endure in service, we mirror Christ’s sacrificial love to a watching world. Though we may not see the fruit immediately, God promises a harvest in His timing.

Reflection

Are you weary in your service to others? Pray for renewed strength to keep going, remembering your endurance is not in vain.

About this Plan

Enduring Well as We Journey With God

We throw around the word "endurance," but what does the Bible say about the role endurance plays in our spiritual lives? Do we simply grit our teeth and steamroll our way through things, or is there more to it than that? Cadence missionary Brian Kleager unpacks what Scripture says about why endurance is a key part of our walk with God.
