10 Qualities of Influential Christians

DAY 5 OF 11

Day 5 – They are Content to Lead from Their Current Position of Authority
Devotional:
The world says “climb the ladder,” but Jesus says “take the towel” (John 13:14). Influential Christians resist the urge to push themselves into greater positions before God’s timing. Like David, they serve faithfully under current leadership, trusting that God’s promotion comes when the time is right.

Contentment in your current role doesn’t mean complacency—it means leading with excellence, humility, and respect where you are. The fruit of your faithfulness now is what God often uses to prepare you for what’s next.

Scripture: Luke 14:11 – “For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Discussion Question:
Are you leading faithfully in your current role, even if it feels small?

Prayer:
Father, help me to trust Your timing. Keep my heart humble and faithful in my current place of service. Amen.
