When the Fire Goes Out – Rekindling Your Fire When You Experience Spiritual BurnoutНамуна

Day 5 – A Fire That Lasts
Scripture:
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”
— Romans 12:11
Devotional Thought:
God doesn’t just want to reignite your fire for a moment—He wants to help you build a fire that lasts. Burnout happens when we try to sustain spiritual passion on our own strength. But lasting fervor comes when we allow the Holy Spirit to be the source of our flame.
This isn’t about hype, emotion, or short bursts of energy. It’s about daily surrender, honest prayer, and choosing to stay connected to the One who fuels your soul. The fire of God in your life can be steady, consistent, and unshakable—not because of you, but because of Him.
Today, decide that you will no longer live from burnout to burnout, but from glory to glory. The God who rekindled your flame this week will keep it burning tomorrow—if you let Him.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, be my fire. Teach me to lean on You daily so I don’t burn out again. Help me build rhythms of intimacy that keep my heart alive in You. Amen.
Reflection/Action Step:
Choose one daily spiritual practice (prayer, worship, journaling, scripture reading) that you will commit to for the next 30 days. Ask God to give you grace to stay consistent.
These last five days have been about recognizing burnout and welcoming God to rekindle your heart—but this is just the beginning. God is calling you to a deeper, more intentional journey with Him.
My book, Get Your Groove Back in God: A 30-Day Journey to an Intentional Prayer Life, is designed to guide you step by step into that transformation. With daily lessons, reflection prompts, and scheduled prayer times, you’ll learn how to move from burnout to breakthrough, from apathy to intimacy, and from exhaustion to joy in His presence.
