Pray About Your Postgraduate Studies

Prayer is your supernatural advantage. It’s not just a spiritual exercise; it’s a strategy that is underused.

Have you ever been stuck starting an assignment? It may not be a lack of skill but a lack of prayer. There is grace released in the secret place of prayer that directly impacts your studies.

Philippians 4:6 urges us to bring everything to God in prayer. That includes literature reviews and ethics applications! Nothing is outside the touch of God, including postgraduate degrees!

Prayer doesn’t replace your work; it empowers it. Scripture says that Faith without works is dead (James 2:17, NIV). Prayer will empower and endow you with the wisdom and excellence needed to complete an assignment, but it will not do the assignment for you. Prayer will remove anxiety and hopelessness and replace them with peace and confidence in the ability of the Holy Spirit to work in you and through you for the assignment.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 instructs us to pray for our leaders and those in authority. This also includes your teachers, lecturers, supervisors and examiners. As they shape your experience, pray that they would be full of wisdom, supportive, strengthened and in good health.

• God grant me favour in my studies from my teachers, lecturers, examiners and supervisors.
• God, pour out Your wisdom and teach me unsearchable things.
• God grant me Your perfect peace, especially when I feel overwhelmed or stuck.
