Transformed by His PromisesНамуна

HOLD TIGHT TO GOD’S PROMISES WITH CONFIDENT HOPE
Romans 15:4 (NLT): "Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled."
Mindful Minute: We have used quotes from the book of Romans several times so far during our first 24 days. This is for good reason when you understand the purpose of Romans against the backdrop of the entirety of the Bible.
The book of Romans was written by the Apostle Paul to summarize the Good News about Jesus Christ. The New Testament book explains the human condition and the meaning of life while we are on this earth. It gives guidance to followers of Christ on how to deal with the problems, failures, and disputes characterized by life in this world.
We can easily confirm why so many verses are directly applicable to our journey in this this 30-day process. All of Scripture is the basis for building a story to teach us. God has had a plan since the beginning of time. He left us with the Helper, the Holy Spirit, so we will never feel alone in our walk.
While we may be surrounded by sin and temptation, we can remain hopeful in His loving instruction that God has a different and better plan for us. With this hope and encouragement, we can stay strong in our walk with Him.
Prayer: Father, I am grateful today for your unconditional love and instruction. Thank you for reminding me of your faithfulness to all of humanity. You have a purpose and a plan, have provided Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice, and left us with our Helper, the Holy Spirit, as a mechanism for all to wait patiently as we witness your plan unfold. I remain steadfast and patient with joyful anticipation. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
