Held by His Heart
Today’s study invites you to hear Jesus describe His own heart—and it may not be what you'd expect.
In a world that often demands performance and strength, Jesus offers something radically different: rest. In Matthew 11:25–30, we see the only place in Scripture where Jesus tells us what His heart is like. As you read, pay close attention to the words He uses. What does it mean for you, especially in seasons of weariness or loneliness, that Jesus is gentle and lowly?
Matthew 11:25–30
🤔 Jesus describes Himself as “gentle and lowly.” What comes to mind when you hear those words? How do they challenge or comfort your view of God?
🤔 Jesus promises His yoke is easy and His burden is light. How does that align or conflict with how your faith walk feels right now? Why do you think that is?

About this Plan

Life can leave us feeling alone, wounded, or weary. But the story of Scripture reminds us that even in our lowest moments, we are not abandoned—we are held. In this 5-day journey, teacher and author Scott Sauls gently guides us through how Jesus meets us in our loneliness, holds us with kindness, walks with us through hurt, and gives us strength in weakness. You’re not forgotten. You’re held.
