Day 2 – Love That Nurtures

Story: Hannah praying for Samuel (1 Samuel 1:9-20)

A mother’s love provides comfort, stability, and encouragement. Hannah’s story shows the power of love expressed through prayer, devotion, and care. Longing for a child, she poured her heart into God, promising to dedicate him to the Lord. Her love shaped Samuel’s early life and his destiny to serve God faithfully.

Love is more than emotion; it is action. It nurtures the heart and mind, forming the foundation for confidence, character, and security. Paul’s description of love in 1 Corinthians, patient, kind, not self-seeking, applies to mothers daily. Loving discipline, encouragement, and sacrificial care communicate God’s love in ways words alone cannot.

Nurturing love creates an environment where children can flourish, grow in faith, and develop the courage to pursue God’s plan for their lives. It is a love that equips, not enables, guiding children toward maturity while reflecting God’s steadfast love.
