Impulses for the Way: 30 Days on the Camino De SantiagoНамуна

Carry One Another’s Burdens
Let’s continue our journey. Begin today by stopping to breathe. Notice your heart and mind as you breathe. No matter what you are facing today, this is a space for you to lay that aside and rest in Jesus’ peace.
Today, Barrett discussed the gift of carrying one another’s burdens. One of the greatest gifts we’ve been given is the ability to journey through life in community. If you’ve even been met with support while in a hard season, you understand the gift of bearing one another’s struggles. We are able to bring that gift to others, and find joy in caring for one another in Christ.
Read 2 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God” (NIV).
Focus your thoughts on how you’ve received the comfort of Jesus. If your thoughts wander, bring them back by repeating the phrase, “God of all comfort.” It is from God’s grace and love that we extend love to others.
As you read 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 again, pray and ask the Lord to bring to mind someone who you can care for today. Take a moment to pray for this person, and ask God to show you how to be led in love to carry another’s burdens.
Close your time resting in the comfort you have received from God.
About this Plan

What if following Jesus was like walking the Camino de Santiago—dusty paths, vineyards, mountain passes, and ancient Roman roads? *Impulses for the Way* is a 30-day, video devotional filmed across 800km of this historic pilgrimage. Barrett Harkins, who lives in Santiago and serves pilgrims daily, shares stories from the trail, Scripture reflections, and prayers that explore restlessness, forgiveness, hope, and radical grace. Whether you’re on the Camino or navigating daily life, these short videos invite you to take the next step with Jesus—listening to the Spirit’s whispers and remembering this truth: you never walk alone.
