Jesus Is…Infinitely GloriousНамуна

Day 3 - Jesus is…Above All.
Isaiah 33:22 and Psalm 47 (ESV)
Devotional: Jesus has divine authority. His power is unrivaled. Jesus has been set apart since the beginning. Isaiah 33:22 (ESV) proclaims, "For the LORD is our judge; the LORD is our lawgiver; the LORD is our King; He will save us." Jesus fulfills every role: Judge, Lawgiver, and King. His authority surpasses all human supremacy and politics. Jesus does not just have power, but He is the source of all power. Every throne, every ruler, every law is HIS. He reigns not just like any king, but the King whose authority is absolute. All creation bows to Him because how could it not bow to its master? He is the King of kings. He is sovereign over all things. His kingship provides believers with hope because He is our advocate. He sits at the right hand of the Father, advocating for us on our behalf. His reign is an assurance of our hope. Psalm 47 (ESV) states, "The LORD is a great King over all the earth”. Jesus’ reign is a perfect kingship!
Prayer: Jesus, you are above all! Thank you for being our advocate. We do not deserve to be advocated for, and I could not be more thankful for the hope of my salvation, which is all because of You.
