Head/Heart/Hands Questions Day 26 of 30 (2 Peter 1–3 & 1 John 1–5)
Hope you’ve listened to the Audio Bible! Now, take some time to meet with your group. Below are some sample questions to guide your conversation, but feel free to add your own too.
🧠 Head (What did the passage say?)
- What passages—like Peter’s reminder that trials refine our faith and that God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:8–9)—highlight the reality of suffering and waiting for God’s timing?
- Where do you see growth, such as the call to “make every effort to add to your faith goodness… knowledge… perseverance… godliness… love” (2 Peter 1:5–8 NIV)?
- Which example best shows love, like John’s teaching that “we love because He first loved us” (1 John 4:19) and that love is proved through action (1 John 3:16–18 NIV)?
- What teaching—such as “test the spirits to see whether they are from God” (1 John 4:1–6 NIV)—challenges common views about truth and discernment?
- How do these chapters—especially “this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” (1 John 5:4 NIV)—reveal God’s victory through Christ?
❤️ Heart (What does it mean for me?)
- Which verse—like 1 John 5:4—gives you hope when facing suffering?
- How does the call to spiritual growth in 2 Peter 1 encourage your walk with God?
- When have you experienced or shown love like in 1 John 4?
- How does the challenge to discern truth shape your thinking and choices?
- How does celebrating God’s victory in Christ inspire your worship?
🤲 Hands (How will I live it out?)
- Share with a friend how God brings purpose out of suffering.
- Take one intentional step in your spiritual growth this week based on 2 Peter 1:5–8.
- Show love through a tangible action toward someone in need.
- Practice discernment by measuring a message or teaching against Scripture.
- Thank God for His victory in your life through prayer, song, or testimony.
