Head/Heart/Hands Questions Day 17 of 30 (1 Corinthians 12–16 & 2 Corinthians 1–4)

Hope you’ve listened to the Audio Bible! Now, take some time to meet with your group. Below are some sample questions to guide your conversation, but feel free to add your own too.

🧠 Head (What did the passage say?)

  1. What passages—like Paul’s teaching on spiritual gifts and the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:4–31)—highlight the purpose and diversity of gifts?
  2. Where do you see comfort, such as God comforting us in all our troubles so we can comfort others (2 Corinthians 1:3–7)?
  3. Which passage best shows God’s strength in weakness, like Paul’s description of being “jars of clay” carrying the treasure of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:7–12)?
  4. What teaching—such as the call to be reconciled to God and one another (2 Corinthians 5:18–19, foreshadowed in the unity urged in 1 Corinthians 13)—challenges common ideas about reconciliation?
  5. How do these chapters—especially Paul’s urging to give generously (1 Corinthians 16:1–4)—reveal God’s generosity?

❤️ Heart (What does it mean for me?)

  1. Which verse—like 1 Corinthians 12:7—gives you hope that your gifts can serve God’s purposes?
  2. How does the comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3–4 encourage you in hard times?
  3. When have you experienced God’s strength working through your weakness like Paul describes in 2 Corinthians 4?
  4. How does the call to reconciliation shape your relationships?
  5. How does seeing God’s generosity in these chapters inspire your worship?

🤲 Hands (How will I live it out?)

  1. Share with someone this week how God has gifted you to serve others.
  2. Offer comfort to someone in need, following 2 Corinthians 1:3–4.
  3. Encourage someone by showing how God works through weakness.
  4. Take a step toward reconciliation with someone, or help reconcile others.
  5. Give generously in some way this week, reflecting God’s generosity.
