Day 1 - Jesus is…Fully God.

John 10:30 (ESV) – "I and the Father are one."

Devotional: It is a scandalous statement. Jesus, the carpenter, and son of a peasant, claims that He and God Almighty are one. Jesus is not saying that He and God are merely best friends. Jesus is claiming that He is God. The truth that Jesus is God is central to the Christian faith. If Jesus is not God, then God is not a triune being. If Jesus is not God, then he could not save all of humanity from sin, death, and the powers of evil. But He is! Jesus is God. And because Jesus is God, His name alone has rewritten history. Jesus. The truth that Jesus is God and fully God shows that we have a God who comes to us. We have a God who initiates our relationship with him and meets us where we are. God is not distant. He is near. He is constantly close to His people, filled with patience. It means that Jesus has always been available for His people and will continue to be available today. Because He is God, all-knowing and all-powerful, Jesus is worthy of trust and deserving of a relationship. Know that Jesus, our Lord, sees you. Get ready, throughout, we will learn more about who Jesus really is!

Prayer: Jesus, thank you that you are fully God. Thank you for coming down from a place of perfection to this broken world to die for my sins and mistakes. I could not be more thankful for you!
