Radically Restored—to Oneness With AnotherНамуна

Day 4: Living in a Strong Group Culture
Jesus was, and is, calling His disciples to give up their usual allegiance to blood families to join a multi-ethnic family. If you don’t, you cannot be His disciple. Today, many of us raised in Western cultures find it extremely difficult to imagine living in a strong group culture style of community. We have been raised in a ‘weak group culture’ where the individual has priority over the group. Western culture fights for and demands individualism and tolerates everyone being a critic. The clash of Kingdom culture and Western culture significantly undermines our capacity for, and commitment to, community as Jesus sees it.—Peter McHugh

About this Plan

As followers of Jesus, we are called to advance God's Kingdom by trusting in Him and living in loving, flourishing community. This begins individually and grows collectively as we follow Jesus. Our love for one another, especially for those we disagree with or consider enemies, marks us as His disciples. In Radically Restored to Oneness with One Another, author and pastor Peter McHugh explores the deep biblical call to unity, revealing how central our pursuit of oneness is to life with Jesus.
