What Is My Calling?Намуна

Paul was called to spread the Gospel
“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’” (Acts 13:2 ESV)
Paul had experienced a radical conversion. He used to persecute anyone who believed in the Lord Jesus. But when Paul met Jesus himself, he changed from a persecutor to a follower who wanted to do what Jesus asked him to. The Lord Jesus involved Paul as “a chosen instrument of Mine to carry My name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.” (Acts 9:15 ESV)
Some time later, when Paul was praying and fasting with other Christians, the Holy Spirit made it clear that he was to go on a mission trip to spread the Gospel. That was his calling, his special task in God's Kingdom. Paul took that so seriously that he traveled around the world telling people about Jesus and encouraging and teaching young believers. He introduced himself to them as “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God” (for example, in Romans 1:1 ESV).
Throughout history, God has given more people such a special task. They have been called to fulfill a special role in His kingdom; to tell people about God and to spread His love.
What do you think, does a Christian need a special calling to share the Gospel? How do you personally feel about that?
