God says I am … equipped.

Your boss just handed you a massive project—and you suddenly realize ... you have no idea how you’ll ever get it done.

Your kid just did something you never thought they were capable of, and now you’re the one who has to respond with grace, humility, and wisdom you’re not sure you have. What now?

Maybe something like this has happened to you. You’re faced with a work crisis, a family challenge, or a relationship struggle—and you’re totally unprepared. Your mind goes blank, and you feel overwhelmed with all the wrong emotions.

Your own resources can only take you so far. But what if you could draw on a source greater than yourself? A source of peace, wisdom, and clarity beyond your own understanding?

The good news ... you can! God has equipped you with what you need. And you can access it in two powerful ways: through Scripture and by calling on the Holy Spirit.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NIV) reminds us that Scripture is God-breathed, so “the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”. God’s Word is timeless and can help you navigate anything you’re going through.

And when your own words or instincts fail you, the Holy Spirit doesn’t. Jesus told His disciples in Luke 12:11–12 (NIV), “... do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say”.

This same Spirit lives in you. You too can call on the Holy Spirit anytime, in any situation. So the next time you’re grasping for the right words or the next step in a stressful moment, simply pray, “Holy Spirit, come.” And invite Him to make your moment His moment.

Dear Lord,

I believe that You will equip me in my moments of need. Help me to call on Your Holy Spirit in the midst of my struggles and invite You to come in and show me the way.
