Restoring RelationshipsНамуна

Day 7: Justice
Devotional
True justice, as pictured in Isaiah and Hosea, is not just about punishment or fairness—it’s about shalom. This biblical peace is more than the absence of conflict; it's the presence of wholeness, security, love, and flourishing relationships. Justice, then, is deeply relational. It seeks restoration and well-being, not just retribution. When God speaks of justice, He includes compassion, faithfulness, safety, and hope for the future. Restorative justice reflects this heart—focused on healing relationships, repairing harm, and cultivating a community where everyone can thrive. In God's economy, justice doesn’t end with “what is deserved,” but continues toward what restores.
Reflection Question:
How does God’s vision of justice challenge or expand your own? Where might He be calling you to pursue shalom in a broken relationship or community?
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to seek justice that reflects Your heart—a justice that heals, restores, and builds peace. Help me to live out shalom in my relationships and to work toward wholeness wherever there is brokenness. Amen.
