Teacher and Students

Even as a boy, Jesus connected with God through Learning. Others were left astonished at His understanding and the answers He gave to those in the temple (Luke 2:46-47). Then, when He began His ministry, He taught and discipled others, sharing His wisdom, as well as performing miracles, signs, and wonders.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus warned people about religious teachers who loved titles like “Rabbi” but didn’t practice what they preached. Rabbis were devoted to teaching and interpreting the Old Testament Scriptures, but Jesus exposed their hypocrisy in teaching burdensome rules and seeking attention for the good works they did. But Jesus' actions—healing, deliverance, and miracles—proved He was sent by God (John 3:2). Jesus’ knowledge was applied through action. He did not stop at the knowing and teaching of the Old Testament scriptures, but He performed great works that changed lives.

As you connect with God through Learning, let revelation turn into action, just as it did through Jesus, our perfect Rabbi.

Prayer

Jesus, forgive me if I have not practiced what I have learned or preached. You are my Rabbi. You teach me and lead me. Rabbi, as I learn, I ask for the conviction and revelation to do even greater things according to Your Word. Amen.
